The money that Inter are looking to reinvest from the Achraf Hakimi sale could be put towards signing Sassuolo forward Giacomo Raspadori rather than a right-back, according to a report in the Italian print media.

As has been reported by Il Giorno earlier today, Inter are very keen on bringing the Sassuolo striker who is part of the national team to the San Siro so he can act as a backup to Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.

For a while during the transfer window it seemed that Inter were going to let Lautaro Martinez go should someone bid the €90 million asking price. That still is not an impossible situation, but now that Achraf Hakimi is leaving it is much less likely that they will sell another big star.

It was assumed the Achraf Hakimi money would go straight into a replacement but the Nerazzurri may prioritise snapping up Giacomo Raspadori instead.
