Inter winger Ivan Perisic has reached out to fans to thank them for their support after he received a positive diagnosis for COVID-19.
Perisic had been starring for Croatia at the Euros before he tested positive for the virus, but he has made a post on his Instagram thanking fans for their support through the ordeal and expressing his regret to have missed yesterday’s match against Spain.
Despite the diagnosis the Croatia states that he is feeling well.
Perisic’s post reads: “As most of you already know, I’ve tested positive for Covid-19. Thank you for all your messages. I am feeling better today, but I am very sad I won’t be able to help Croatia tomorrow and hopefully further on. With the support of our amazing fans, I am confident boys will play a great match. And who knows, maybe in the end I will play again at this tournament. Let’s go boys.”
