Inter will look to begin talks with Marcelo Brozovic when the midfielder returns from his summer holidays, according to reports.

This from today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who state that the Nerazzurri hope to extend the player’s contract past next summer and that the Croatian is set to receive a pay raise.

Brozovic’s deal is currently set to expire at the end of June 2022, but he is considered a vital player at the Giuseppe Meazza, and the Nerazzurri will hope to keep him for longer than that, and not to go into the final season of his contract with his situation unresolved.

It is thought that the club will offer increased wages to the player in order to persuade him to remain at the club, and that the 28-year-old could be set to earn a net of €5 million per season going forward, up from the €3.5 million on his current deal.
