Inter and Netherlands defender Stefan de Vrij has thanked Dutch supporters for their presence at the team’s EURO 2020 matches while expressing his regret to have exited the tournament against the Czech Republic in the round of sixteen on Sunday.
Posting a photoset on his Instagram account, the Dutchman shows the positive memories from the Netherlands’ tournament which he is still glad to have in spite of being eliminated.
Alongside the photoset the 29-year-old includes a heartfelt message which reads:
“We ended earlier than expected but having the opportunity to represent my country and play again in front of our fans was an amazing experience. The disappointment remains but this feeling will only make us stronger and we will return with even more hunger for success. Thank you for the support”
