An Italian journalist has explained how despite other transfer reports coming out of The Netherlands, Denzel Dumfries is not on his way to Milan this weekend to sign a deal with Inter.

Alfredo Pedulla explained via his Twitter feed that Denzel Dumfries is nowhere near signing for the Nerazzurri as it stands, and it is not a deal that is likely to go ahead.

He also explained that the deal would prove to be too expensive for Inter. This could be because interest in Denzel Dumfries’s services are currently the highest they have ever been, so PSV Eindhoven may wish to create a bidding war between clubs and drive the price up.

“Inter like Dumfries but it has costs and they are too much from Holland: no trip underway to Milan.”

The Dutch wing-back has attracted the attention of elite teams and many fans after he put in some excellent performances for the national team in Euro 2020. The Netherlands were then defeated by the Czech Republic in the round of 16.
