The salary of Inter’s backup goalkeeper Ionut Radu could make it very hard for the Nerazzurri to cash in on him this summer and lighten their financial load, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported in the print edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the 24-year-old is currently on a salary of €1.8 million per season which is very high for a goalkeeper of his quality that does not make many appearances.

The signing of Alex Cordaz from Crotone for free could potentially have pushed the Romanian further down the pecking order at Inter. It looks very unlikely that either of those goalkeepers are going to be the long term successor to Samir Handanovic.

Real Sociedad have expressed very concrete interest in Ionut Radu, but the wage is a problem for them as the player is unlikely to take much of a pay cut,
