A statistic tweeted by OptaPaolo shows that Nicolo Barella has made history for the Italian national team with his excellent goal against Belgium on Friday night.
His opener in the 2-1 win means that Italy have now scored more goals in this European Championships than they ever have in the past (10).
The last time Italy scored more in a major tournament was in the 2006 World Cup which they went on to win. The Azzurri scored 12 in that tournament.
