Inter are determined to keep all of their most important squad members for next season after losing Achraf Hakimi.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Moroccan’s departure means that the club are no longer interested in selling any key players this summer.
The budgetary agenda at the Giuseppe Meazza this season is well known, with the club needing to bring in a significant fee from a major sale to help meet financial targets.
Hakimi has been the favourite to go for some time, although other players have been linked away including Lautaro Martinez and Milan Skriniar among others, and it has been suggested that the Nerazzurri could even part ways with more than one key player from last season’s Scudetto-winning squad.
However, the directors at the club have been clear on their intentions, and will look to hang onto all of their most important players going into next season, looking instead of bring in fees from the departures of fringe players such as Joao Mario instead.
The Nerazzurri will aim to bring in smaller fees for these types of players while keeping the core squad as strong as possible for incoming manager Simone Inzaghi.
