Inter fans’ first chance to see the club in action with Simone Inzaghi in charge will be against FC Lugano in Switzerland on Saturday 17th July, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Regione, the Swiss side will be Simone Inzaghi’s very first opponent as he embarks on his journey as Nerazzurri boss. His overall task will be to retain the Serie A title that Antonio Conte won before his abrupt departure at the end of last season.

That was Inter’s first Scudetto since Jose Mourinho won the league and Champions League in 2009/10.

The game could have a competitive edge because whilst it is Inter’s first friendly, for FC Lugano it will be their final preparation game before the Super League season kicks off the following week.

The game will take place at the Cornaredo stadium in Lugano and will kick off at 20:30 CET.
