Monza CEO Adriano Galliani has confirmed that his club are set to re-sign Inter defender Lorenzo Pirola on loan for next season.

Speaking at a press conference to confirm the arrival of new head coach Giovanni Stroppa, as reported by L’Interista, the director also confirmed the arrival of some players for next season.

As had already been confirmed, the Monza club have re-signed keeper Michele di Gregorio on loan for next season, with the player having already spent last season with the club, and they have also brought in 21-year-old AC Milan midfielder Marco Brescianini on loan.

One more loan extension which the club had been linked with has also been confirmed by Galliani, with the director stating that 19-year-old Nerazzurri center-back Lorenzo Pirola will also arrive, with an agreement having been reached between the clubs.

Pirola will arrive on an initial one-year-loan, and Monza also have an option to make his loan move permanent, which becomes an obligation should they achieve promotion.

Galliani’s words: “We have re-signed Michele di Gregorio, we have signed Marco Brescianini, and we have an agreement with Inter for Lorenzo Pirola.”
