Radja Nainggolan looks set to leave Inter this week, with his move to Cagliari possibly completed by Thursday.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Belgian’s move to the Rossoblu on a permanent basis looks ready to happen with no major obstacles remaining.

The 33-year-old is a player who the Nerazzurri have hoped to offload in the summer window, with his wages considered excessive for a player not in Simone Inzaghi’s plans.

The midfielder spent the second half of last season with the Rossoblu, helping Leonardo Semplici’s side avoid relegation, and he is thought to want a permanent stay while the Sardinian club want to sign him.

Talks between the clubs have been ongoing, held up only by financial details, with it being thought that the issue of the player’s severance pay from the Nerazzurri has been a sticking point.

However, the Nerazzurri are ready to meet the Belgian’s financial demands by spreading the amount out over a number of seasons, and the deal for him could be accelerated and finished in the coming days.
