Stefano Sensi Aiming To Impress Incoming Inter Coach Simone Inzaghi, Italian Media Report

Stefano Sensi will hope to convince Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi that he has a role to play in the Nerazzurri’s squad next season.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 25-year-old is preparing to show the new coach his qualities when pre-season training commences on Thursday.

Sensi has struggled for regular game-time since joining the Nerazzurri from Sassuolo in the summer of 2019, with injuries restricting his availability to Antonio Conte and making it difficult for him to build any momentum.

Along similar lines, the player was ruled out of participation in the Euros with Italy through yet another muscle injury, though he has spent his time bringing himself back up to full fitness.

The midfielder will be among the players to convene at Inter’s training camp on Thursday, with many squad members absent through commitments with their national teams.

The 25-year-old will hope that this training represents an opportunity to impress his new manager, and is ready to show what he is capable of in view of earning a regular starting role under the new manager.
