Achraf Hakimi has given his thoughts on the occasion of his confirmation as a Paris Saint-Germain player after completing his transfer from Inter.

Speaking on the Parsian club’s official site, the Moroccan explained that he is happy to have made the move and ready for new experiences and challenges.

The 22-year-old joins after having great success in his lone season with the Nerazzurri, helping bring the first Scudetto in eleven years to the Giuseppe Meazza.

The Moroccan was widely coveted among top European clubs after his exploits in a Nerazzurri shirt, and the Parisians’ acquisition of him represent a major step as the club look to reclaim the Ligue 1 title after missing out to Lille last season.

The player himself views his move as a continuation of his experiences with Inter, as well as prior clubs Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, and shows an eagerness to continue improving and winning trophies, which Inter fans will recognize fondly while also regretting that he will not be playing for the club next season.

Hakimi’s words:

“I feel a great sense of pride today. After Spain, Germany and Italy, Paris Saint-Germain offers me the chance to discover a new championship with one of the most prestigious clubs in the world.”

He continues: “I can’t wait to meet my new teammates, the fans and experience the incredible colour and passion inside the Parc des Princes. I share the same big ambitions as the coaching staff and my teammates and will do everything I can to deliver what is expected of me.”
