Lautaro Martinez could depart from Inter in the summer, with Chelsea thought to be seriously tracking the Argentine striker.

This according to Spanish new outlet fichajes.net, who report that the London club are ready to move for the 23-year-old should they prove unable to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.

It is believed that the Blues are hoping to bring in a centre-forward in the summer, and Haaland is a name who has been persistently linked.

However, the club are also considering other targets, with Villarreal’s Gerard Moreno the latest player to have come up in their search, although it is thought that they have given up on him.

Martinez is reported to be the next player who the Champions League holders are sounding out, with the 23-year-old a top target for the club should they not be able to bring in priority target Haaland.

It is not yet known whether the Nerazzurri would consider dealing for the Argentine’s departure, with the club thought to have gone a long way towards meeting financial targets with the revenue from the sale of Achraf Hakimi to Paris Saint-Germain and not intending to make another major sale.

However, it could still be possible that the Blues persuade the Nerazzurri with the right offer, with the English side still having the likes of Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri, reported Inter targets, to offer in addition to a potentially sizable cash amount to try and meet the Nerazzurri’s valuation.
