Young striker Sebastiano Esposito could be set to depart Inter on loan for next season, with Swiss club Basel the destination.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that talks are underway between the two clubs over the loan of the 18-year-old.

Esposito is a player who the Nerazzurri are not thought to be ready to part ways with on a permanent basis given his quality, though his lack of experience means that he is not part of the club’s plans for the immediate future.

The club have already sent the 18-year-old out on loan last season, first with Serie B club SPAL and then with Venezia, helping the latter achieve promotion to Serie A.

The next step for Esposito could be a full season of top-flight football, with the player looking set to play with Basel in the Swiss first division next season, as talks are now well underway.
