Radja Nainggolan looks set to depart Inter soon, with the deal to bring the midfielder to Cagliari close to being complete.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri and the Rossoblu are close to agreeing terms and finalizing the move for the 33-year-old.

Nainggolan is thought to be a player who the Nerazzurri would like to move on this season, with the club wanting to avoid paying the Belgian the net €4.5 million remaining on the final season of his contract.

They should soon get their wish, with the player’s move to Cagliari on a permanent basis after spending the second half of last season there on loan looking set to be completed soon.

In addition to getting the player’s substantial wages off their balance sheet, it is also reported that Inter should receive compensation of €1 million from the Sardinian club as part of the deal.
