Inter appear to have a strategy towards building the attacking area of their squad, with Monaco’s Keita Balde being targeted this summer while Giacomo Raspadori is intended to be acquired from Sassuolo the next.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who claim that the Nerazzurri could look to reach an informal agreement for the eventual purchase of Raspadori soon while bringing in Balde.

Keita Balde has emerged as a target to compete with strikers Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez, and Alexis Sanchez in Simone Inzaghi’s squad next season with the Senegalese striker having enjoyed good form under Inzaghi in the past.

The 26-year-old, who has already played once for the Nerazzurri, on loan during the 2018-19 season, had his best run of form under the current Inter manager during his final season at Lazio, and the pair could seek a reunion at Inter.

With the player coming into the final year of his contract, it is thought that it would be not too difficult to convince Monaco to let go of the player.

Raspadori, meanwhile, is a player who Inter have been targeting for some time, and it now looks as though his arrival could be forthcoming, but not until next summer.

Talks between the Nerazzurri and Neroverdi Sporting Director Giovanni Carnevali have been ongoing, and Inter could block the player off for purchase next summer in order not to miss out on him, allowing Sassuolo to have one more season with the young striker.

Should Raspadori arrive next summer it does not necessarily imply that Lautaro would depart, though it would potentially mean that the Nerazzurri are more likely to deal on the sale of the Argentine.
