Inter will face competition for the signature of AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, with English club Tottenham Hotspur ready to make a move for the Ivorian.

This according to UK-based Eurosport journalist Dean Jones, via FCInterNews, who reports that the London club will look to take advantage of the situation with the 24-year-old currently negotiating his contract renewal with the Rossoneri.

Having already brought in Hakan Calhanoglu this summer from their city rivals on a free transfer after the Turkish midfielder’s contract expired, the Nerazzurri are weighing up the possibility of doing the same to bring in Kessie next summer, when the player’s contract expires.

Tottenham may not want to wait that long, however, and are considering trying to lure the player to the Premier League this summer.

With Kessie’s contract set to run out at the end of June 2022, and the club having already lost Calhanoglu and Gianluigi Donnarumma this summer without a transfer fee, Milan will not want to lose Kessie in similar circumstances.

The Rossoneri are currently in talks with the midfielder about a contract extension, but should they be unable to reach an agreement it is possible that they will move him on this summer for a fee to avoid losing him for free next summer, and Tottenham are ready to bring him in.
