Oscar Damiani  has spoken about the future of midfielder Lucien Agoume at Inter, praising the 19-year-old’s talent and stating that he hopes that the player has a future with the Nerazzurri.

Speaking to Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb.com, the agent discussed the young French midfielder’s proposed renewal with the Nerzzurri.

Agoume returns from a loan spell with Spezia last season, where he impressed despite making only twelve appearances for the newly-promoted club.

It is thought that the Nerazzurri do not wish to lose the player, and are working on a renewal that would see his contract extended beyond its current expiration.

It is not yet known what the immediate future holds for the midfielder, who will be assessed by new manager Simone Inzaghi in the pre-season training camp.

Should the manager like what he sees in the 19-year-old, the player could be integrated into the first team for next season, although another loan is also possible once the player’s contract is sorted.

Asked about Agoume, Damiani had this to say:

“His agent is taking care of [his contract renewal]. I hope that Simone Inzaghi can recognize the talents of this boy, he can be very valuable to Inter.”
