Young striker returns to Inter from his loan with Bologna, with Bologna deciding not to exercise their option to buy the 20-year-old.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, who report that Vergani will join the Nerazzurri’s pre-season training camp while his future is decided, with the club likely to send him out loan again or sell him.

The player’s contract is currently set to expire on June 30 2023, and it is not yet know how the Nerazzurri intend to deal with his situation.

The young striker is not, however, thought to be likely to be considered as a first-team option heading into next season despite training with the rest of the squad for now.

It is thought that several Serie B clubs are interested in Vergani, and Inter could listen to offers soon with the club thought to be ready to let him leave, although the terms of a deal that they would accept are not yet known.
