Inter are looking at Chelsea players Marcos Alonso, Emerson Palmieri, and Davide Zappacosta as the club look to strengthen the squad for Simone Inzaghi going into next season.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the trio are all currently considered targets of the Nerazzurri.

The wide roles are important to the tactical ideas employed by the new Inter coach, and having strong options available on both sides of the pitch is considered essential.

With Ashley Young having departed on the left, and Achraf Hakimi’s move to PSG confirmed on Tuesday, it is expected that a new signing will be brought in to replace both.

Replacing Young on the left, it is believed that Chelsea players Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri are among the top targets, while out-of-contract Crystal Palace left-back Patrick Van Aanholt could arrive on a free transfer as an alternative.

Another Chelsea player, Davide Zappacosta, is seen as a possible option to replace Hakimi on the right, though the club could also pursue more expensive targets such as PSV’s Denzel Dumfries or Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin, thought to be among the club’s preferred options as well.
