Inter do not plan to sell Federico Dimarco this summer, despite interest from Roma.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Il Messaggero, who report that Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi wants to keep the 23-year-old.
Dimarco returns to Inter from a loan spell with Hellas Verona, and his future has not been immediately clear, with several clubs thought to be interested in signing the left-back.
Roma have joined that list, with new Giallorossi boss Jose Mourinho an admirer of the player, and asking the club to sign him from Inter as a replacement for the injured Leonardo Spinazzola, who looks set to miss a significant portion of next season.
However, Inter may not wish to part with the player, who will be assessed by Inzaghi in pre-season training, and should the manager like what he sees then Inter will not sell the player and Roma will have to look elsewhere among their left-sided targets.
