Inter have restarted contacts for Roma’s Alessandro Florenzi, with the Italian a possible target to replace the departed Achraf Hakimi.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, who reported this evening that the Nerazzurri have begun seriously pursuing the player.

With Hakimi’s move to PSG officially confirmed yesterday, Inter have made finding a right-sided player to replace the Moroccan a priority in the summer transfer market.

Florenzi’s name has been linked to the club as being on their list for Hakimi’s replacement during the window, with the right-back having returned to Roma after his loan spell with PSG.

It is now thought that the club are back in talks with the Giallorossi, as they look to accelerate the process of finding Hakimi’s replacement and are serious about the 30-year-old as a possibility.

It remains to be seen how far negotiations for the player will go, though it has been reported that the Giallorossi would consider selling the player.
