Inter have identified their targets to replace Samir Handanovic should the 36-year-old depart next summer, with the Slovenian not currently looking likely to extend his deal beyond next summer.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Nerazzurri will look to sign either Ajax’s Andre Onana or Fiorentina’s Bartolmiej Dragowski next summer to take over from Handanovic.

Handanovic will remain the first-choice keeper next season, but with the Slovenian turning 37 this month the club know that a long-term replacement must be found.

Ajax’s Onana could be a financially attractive target, with the 25-year-old out of contract next summer, and should the Cameroonian not extend his deal with the Dutch giants then Inter could acquire in him a high-quality option in goal without a transfer fee involved.

Dragowski is another player who has been linked with Inter in recent weeks as a potential long-term option, although La Viola are thought to be attempting to secure the 23-year-old’s future by extending his contract.

However, the Nerazzurri could return for the Polish goalkeeper next season when they are more serious about replacing Handanovic.
