Inter are considering a move to sign Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho, with the player thought to be available for sale.

This according to Spanish news outlet, via FCInterNews, who report that the Blaugranas are willing to sell the 29-year-old, with the Catalan giants hoping to jettison his wages.

The Brazilian playmaker has never met expectations at the Camp Nou after arriving for a large transfer fee in January of 2018, and with Barcelona facing financial problems he is one of the first squad members whose high salary they would like to get off their balance sheet.

Despite the player’s unconvincing form in Catalonia and during his single season on loan with Bayern Munich, he is still regarded as a major talent and has attracted the attention of European clubs hoping to take advantage of his situation at the Camp Nou, including AC Milan and Leicester City.

The Nerazzurri have reportedly joined the race for the Brazilian, who spent time at the Giuseppe Meazza earlier in his career, although for the time being it is not clear how serious their interest is or whether they could make an offer that the Blaugranas would accept.
