PSV’s Denzel Dumfries is the preferred option for Inter to sign to replace Achraf Hakimi on the right side, but the cost of a deal for the 25-year-old could be prohibitive.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Dutchman would cost the Nerazzurri at least €20 million.

With Hakimi’s departure to Paris Saint-Germain confirmed earlier this week, the Nerazzurri have made finding a right-sided player to replace the Moroccan a major item on the agenda for the summer.

Dumfries is a player whose profile is thought to be admired by the club as a possible replacement for Hakimi’s contributions.

However, the player’s club PSV would not likely go below €20 million, with the player’s value having risen with his impressive performances at the Euros and other clubs interested, and this amount is thought to be beyond the Nerazzurri’s budget.

Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin is thought to be another target, and Inter will look to bring the Spaniard in if the Gunners will agree to a loan with the option of redemption, though not if the English club insist on a mandatory purchase option.

Chelsea’s Davide Zappacosta is one other lower-cost option who is said to be on the Nerazurri’s radar as well.
