Radja Nainggolan’s proposed move to Cagliari is getting more and more complicated after the Sardinian club backtracked on their initial agreement with Inter, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by the print edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the severance pay issue between Radja Nainggolan and Inter seems to have been solved with a deal agreed in principle.

Now though, Cagliari have retraced their steps on their offer of paying Inter €2 million per season for the Belgian midfielder. This means there is yet more negotiating to do but given the ex-AS Roma player is a top priority for the Rossoblu, a deal should be struck.

In the meantime, Radja Nainggolan is now back training with Inter as he is contractually obliged to do. he is unlikely to form much of Simone Inzaghi’s planning over the preparation period though due to the ongoing negotiations.
