Inter could have to use some of their younger players in order to sign a quality replacement for Achraf Hakimi this summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, Hans Hateboer and Denzel Dumfries are both heavily admired by Inter as a replacement for Achraf Hakimi who left for Paris Saint Germain last week for an upfront fee of €65 million.

It is known that Atalanta were very impressed with Federico Dimarco during his season on loan at Hellas Verona in 2020/21, so Inter may look to exploit that interest and use the left-back in a deal for Hans Hateboer.

Denzel Dumfries is likely to cost almost €30 million so Inter may need to sell a host of young players from the academy if they are to raise that level of money.

The players who could be sacrificed include Zinho Vanheusden and Sebastian Esposito.
