Inter are looking to loan Belgian defender Zinho Vanheusden out to Genoa to build up his Serie A experience, much like they did with Alessandro Bastoni, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, after his three years back with Standard Liege, Zinho Vanheusden is now back in Milan with the rest of the team. He will not be hanging around though as he looks set to join Genoa on a season-long loan with no option to buy the player permanently.

The Nerazzurri reportedly still see Zinho Vanheusden as part of the future of the Inter defence so they do not want to lose him permanently.

This tactic was also used when Inter signed Alessandro Bastoni from Atalanta in 2017. After briefly loaning him back to La Dea, he was sent to Parma where he made 24 appearances and built up his Serie A experience. Now he is a key player for Inter.
