An Inter youngster could be returning to the club that Inter signed him from in 2017, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by L’Interista today, Marco Pompetti looks likely to be heading back to Pescara on a season-long loan over the course of the next week.

The 21-year-old defensive midfielder joined Inter in 2017 for €3.6 million and has since had loan spells at Sampdoria U19’s, Pisa, and Cavese. Now he looked set to head back to Pescara and play for them for another season.

Marco Pompetti has made 50 Primavera 1 appearances during his career so far, scoring four times. He has also recorded an impressive 12 assists during that time. He has also racked up 21 Serie C-C appearances.

Inter are potentially selling a lot of youth players to fund transfers of first-team players so Marco Pompetti may be glad that he looks set for a loan move rather than a permanent deal.
