Lazio wing-back Manuel Lazzari is still Inter’s favoured choice as a replacement for Achraf Hakimi on the right flank, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, Manuel Lazzari is Simone Inzaghi’s dream signing for Inter after Achraf Hakimi moved to Paris Saint Germain for an upfront fee of €65 million.

Simone Inzaghi and Manuel Lazzari worked together at Lazio and they played the same 3-5-2 system that Simone Inzaghi intends to continue using at Inter. This means there would be no tactical adjustment for the player to go through.

The Italian would be an expensive option however, and therefore it seems much more likely that the Nerazzurri will move for either Hector Bellerin or Davide Zappacosta.

It may help Inter that Manuel Lazzari is not suited to the 4-3-3 system that new Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri intends to implement at the Biancocelesti for next season.
