Simone Inzaghi has made it clear to Inter that he wants a new player on each wing before the season starts, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the left and right wing-back positions are of paramount importance to Inter and their new coach following the departure of Achraf Hakimi to Paris Saint Germain.

Inter need a new player of as high a quality as possible on the right-hand side to replace the Moroccan, but they also need an improvement on the left as it was a weak point for the team under Antonio Conte.

For the right flank, it still looks like Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin is the front runner and the club are working on a deal. Davide Zappacosta is the other option but Chelsea are likely to want a permanent deal as he has now had multiple loan moves.

The favourite for the left flank is still Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso.
