Inter’s Belgian defender Zinho Vanheusden is now travelling to Genoa to complete his loan move from the Nerazzurri, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by FCINternews, the young centre-back will get his first consistent taste of football in Serie A by playing a full season with Genoa. Inter do not wish to include an option for the Rossoblu to sign the player permanently because he is part of the Nerazzurri’s defensive plans for the future.

The Belgian has spent the last three seasons gaining in experience with Standard Liege in his home country, but now Inter want him to get a taste of playing in the league that his future should be in.

The same tactic was used with Alessandro Bastoni when he was loaned to Parma before becoming a key player for Inter.

Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is expected to be in Genoa soon as well.
