The loan deal that will see Inter’s Belgian defender Zinho Vanheusden move to Genoa will not include an option for the club to buy him permanently, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by L’Interista, Genoa were very keen on the idea of inserting a clause in the deal that would see the Rossblu have an option to buy the Belgian permanently if he performed to their standards.

Inter see the player as part of their defensive future, however, so they would not entertain the idea. Zinho Vanheusden has spent the last three seasons with Standard Liege in the Jupiler League but now the Nerazzurri want him to get some Serie A experience.

This route of development is similar to that of Alessandro Bastoni he was loaned to Parma where he impressed before being given a proper chance in the Inter first team to show his skills.
