Chelsea have made it clear to Inter that they would need €20 million in order to sell their left-back Marcos Alonso this summer, according to a report in the Italian print media.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, signing Marcos Alonso for the left-flank would not be straightforward for Inter due to their current financial situation.

The other reason that it is not a simple transfer is that Chelsea does not completely see Marcos Alonso as an expendable player. They are open to the idea of the Spaniard leaving Stamford Bridge but they are not actively looking to sell the ex-Fiorentina man.

Marcos Alonso is Simone Inzaghi’s primary target now for the left-flank and he has told Chief Operating Officer Beppe Marotta and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio that having quality players on both wings is of paramount importance to the system he wants to use at Inter during the upcoming campaign.
