Inter are requiring Alexis Sanchez to make a financial sacrifice if he is to stay at the club next season, according to a report in the Italian print media.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter’s Chief Operating Officer Beppe Marotta has recently devised a plan to keep Alexis Sanchez at the club whilst also lightening the load of his considerable wages.

The Chilean forward currently earns €7 million a season at the Nerazzurri. What Beppe Marotta wants to do is keep that salary the same, but ask that Alexis Sanchez allow it to be spread over a longer period of time.

He would still receive the money he is contractually obliged to receive, but it would be paid in smaller chunks and for a longer time frame.

It is not yet clear if the ex-Manchester United, Barcelona, and Arsenal forward has any interest in this arrangement but it is believed that he wants to stay at Inter.
