New Spezia coach Thiago Motta has been discussing Inter’s Andrea Pinamonti during his first press conference in charge of his new club, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Speaking in his first-ever Spezia press conference as reported by FCInter1908, the ex-Inter midfielder talked about his admiration for Inter’s young forward but didn’t go as far as to say that he would make a move for the striker in this summer window.

“Pinamonti can become great, but it is not the case now to say names, also for our strategy. We know what to do and what we need and we are working on it.”

Thiago Motta has already had the opportunity to coach Andrea Pinamonti whilst the pair were together at Genoa. the 22-year-old spent the 2019/20 season on loan at the Rossoblu and he featured 32 times for the team. He picked up five goals that season.

He then moved permanently to Genoa but Inter immediately resigned him. He played a bit-part role for Antonio Conte in the Scudetto winning season but could still end up being sold this summer t make way for others.
