Three big Premier League clubs are very interested in signing Inter’s young defender Alessandro Bastoni this summer despite his recent new contract, according to a report in the Italian print media today.
As has been reported by La Stampa today, the Premier League champions Manchester City, the European champions Chelsea, and Arsenal are all chasing the centre-back as they are aware of Inter’s financial position.
Alessandro Bastoni did sign a new deal with Inter very recently that extends his time with the club until at least June 2024 so that strengthens Inter’s position if any bids do come in.
The Nerazzurri have stated that he is non-transferrable but many major European clubs know that given Inter’s current financial state no player is actually non-transferrable if a big enough bid comes in.
The figure Inter would want for the 22-year-old is not yet clear but it would certainly be a major transfer fee.
