Inter To Try & Convince Sassuolo To Part Ways With Giacomo Raspadori, Italian Media Report

Inter are still closely monitoring Sassuolo striker Giacomo Raspadori, with the club hopeful of reaching an agreement for the 21-year-old.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri could wait until next summer to sign him but that they are still actively talking with his current club.

The young striker, who won the Euros with Italy yesterday, will take a vacation after his exploits with the national team, and then return to prepare for next season with the Neroverdi.

It is thought that the Emilia-Romagna club are determined to keep him in their plans for next season, and are not yet ready to sell the player.

The Nerazzurri are ready, however, to remain at the negotiating table, with the player’s contract thought to be valued at €20 million by Sassuolo, thought Inter are ready to include players going the other way as part of a deal should the Neroverdi be interested.

The intention of Inter CEO Beppe Marotta is currently thought to be to block Raspadori off for next season, and to come to an understanding with Sassuolo which will see the Nerazzurri return for him in 2022 to complete a deal.
