A young Inter player has expressed his delight at training with the Inter first team during the first few days of their pre-season preparations, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.
Whilst speaking to the club’s official television channel Inter TV, Edoardo Sottini showed just how much it means to train with players who win the Serie A title last year.
“Training with the Italian champions is something incredible for me and for all the players in the Youth Sector who are having this opportunity.”
Inter’s preparations for the 2021/22 season got underway this week at Appiano Gentile with Simone Inzaghi seeing some of his players on grass for the first time.
He is of course still without many of the star names in the squad as most players have been taking part in either Euro 2020 or the Copa America this summer, both of which ended at the weekend.
They will start to filter back in dribs and drabs though after their holidays, with Milan Skriniar and Hakan Calhonglu arriving next week to get back up to fitness.
