Inter target Emerson Palmieri could leave his current club Chelsea in the summer, but at the moment the likeliest destination for the Italian is Napoli.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that Inter’s Serie A rivals are currently negotiating for the 26-year-old with the London-based club.

The arrival of a left-sided player is thought to be one of the Nerazzurri’s major priorities in the transfer market this summer as they look to strengthen the wide options available to Simone Inzaghi for next season.

Recent Euro-winner Emerson has been among the targets persistently linked to the club in their search.

However, it appears that the club with the strongest interest in the player are Napoli, as the Partenopei look to move talks along with Chelsea for the player who is still admired by new coach Luciano Spalletti who worked with the player at Roma during the 2016-17 season.

For the time being negotiations are stalled between Napoli and Chelsea over the player, though the Partenopei are determined to make the move happen.
