Inter are set to officially announce the new shirt sponsor to take the place of Pirelli in the coming days, with Socios.com still expected to be the new partner unless there are major surprises.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the new sponsor could make their debut as early as the club’s first friendly of the pre-season against Swiss side Lugano.

The 26-year partnership with Pirelli has officially ended for the Nerazzurri, with the deal having expired at the beginning of this month, bringing to an end one of the most iconic shirt sponsor partnerships in European football.

The search for a replacement has been ongoing with the Nerazzurri owners thought to be hoping to monetize the club’s recent Scudetto success with as lucrative a deal as possible for the new sponsor.

Blockchain company Socios.com are thought to be the company to have reached an agreement with the club, and their official unveiling could be very soon.
