Inter will not be able to sign Denzel Dumfries from PSV, with the 25-year-old set for a switch to Premier League side Everton.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the Merseyside club are in advanced talks for the player’s signature.

Dumfries has been linked with Inter persistently in the summer transfer window, with the Nerazzurri thought to have identified the player as a possible replacement for Achraf Hakimi on the right side.

However, the Dutchman now appears to be on his way out of PSV, and it will not be to Inter.

Everton are keen on the player, and they have made their move for the player, with discussions thought to have brought the player very close to Goodison Park.

Barring a late move to snatch the player from the English club, the Nerazzurri will have to look eslewhere and pursue other targets as they look to replace Hakimi.
