Joao Mario: “Thank You Inter, Good Luck In The Future”

Joao Mario has thanked Inter fans for making him feel welcome at the Giuseppe Meazza during his time at the club, and wished the club luck heading into the future.

In an Instagram story published on his account, as reported by FCInter1908, the midfielder bid farewell to the club that he has been under contract with since 2016, but has agreed to terminate his contract with.

Despite the Portuguese having become a marginal figure at the Giuseppe Meazza in recent seasons, having spent time on loan with West Ham United, Lokomotiv Moscow, and Sporting CP.

However, the player also showed some good form during his early seasons at the club under the likes of Frank de Boer, Stefano Pioli, and Luciano Spalletti, despite being pushed out by other midfield options.

The 28-year-old is expected to depart for Portuguese club Benfica, where he will hope that he can find the same kind of game time and success that he did last season on loan with their Lisbon rivals Sporting, and his contributions during his time at Inter will be appreciated by Nerazzurri fans.

The post reads: “Thank you very much Inter. Good luck in the future.”
