Chinese technology company Lenovo have officially announced that they have become the official Global Technology Partner of Inter.

In an announcement made on their official site, the company explain the rationale for why they decided to partner with Inter, and outline how the club will benefit from the sponsorship deal.

Lenovo’s logo will appear on the backs of Inter’s home shirts for next season, with the club having the sponsorship for the back of the shirt, which they will hope can increase their visibility and brand awareness.

However, apart from this arrangement, the company explain in the announcement how the club can benefit in other ways from the partnership, with the technology company helping to improve the fan experience and extend the club’s reach using their technological practices.

The company highlight Inter’s prestigious reputation and historical record as key reasons which attracted them to the Nerazzurri as a corporate partner.

Their statement reads:

“FC Internazionale Milano, or Inter for short, is one of the biggest football teams in the world. Based in Milan, Italy, Inter has a long history and a prestigious record of honors and wins.

“It’s also the only side to have never been relegated from Italy’s top flight.

“So why has Lenovo stepped up to become the global technology partner for this footballing giant?

“Because, with our smarter technology and know-how, we can help Inter to interact more with their global fanbase, by offering a more informative and entertaining experience.”
