Young striker Sebastiano Esposito has departed Inter and will spend next season on loan with Swiss side Basel.

This is confirmed by the Nerazzurri’s official homepage who announce that the 18-year-old has officially left on loan, with the deal including an option to buy for the Swiss club but where Inter have the option to buy him back.

Esposito is thought to have been a player that the Nerazzurri were looking to find a new club for in the summer, with the young striker not yet ready for senior football under new head coach Simone Inzaghi.

The player had attracted interested from multiple Italian clubs off the back of the form he showed on loan in Serie B last season, first with SPAL and then with Venezia, helping the latter win promotion to Serie A.

However, it is a Swiss club which has won the race to his signature, with the player ready to show his talents in a new domestic league.
