Inter are looking to find a replacement for Achraf Hakimi on the right side of the squad, and PSV’s Denzel Dumfries would like to join the Nerazzurri.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 25-year-old’s price tag could nevertheless be an issue for Inter.

The Nerazzurri are accelerating the search for Hakimi’s replacement, with Dumfries thought to be the preferred option, but the Dutchman is valued at €20 million by his current club PSV, a fee which would be too high for the Nerazzurri this summer.

Inter have looked into the possibility of signing Dumfries on loan with the option to buy, though so far PSV don’t like this option.

Sometime by this weekend, it is thought that Dumfries’s representatives will be speaking to English club Everton, who are also interested in the player, and the Nerazzurri could miss out on their target should the Toffees reach an agreement for his signature.

Meanwhile, Hector Bellerin remains another top target for Hakimi’s replacement, and with the 26-having handed in his transfer request to current club Arsenal and wanting an Inter move, the Nerazzurri could find a way to sign him on loan with a purchase option.
