Arsenal have rejected Inter’s first offer for Hector Bellerin, with the Nerazzurri hoping to bring in the Spaniard as a replacement for the departed Achraf Hakimi.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Gunners do not wish to send the player out on loan with a purchase option and have responded with a firm no to the Nerazzurri’s offer.

With Hakimi gone to PSG, Inter are accelerating their work towards bringing in a replacement for the Moroccan, and Bellerin is thought to be one of their top targets.

The club are currently only willing to offer Arsenal a loan move for the player with an option to buy, while the London club want to sell the player outright or at least include an obligation to buy in a loan deal, valuing the Spaniard at €20 million.

The Nerazzurri will hope that the player’s desire to join and the passage of time will be enough to bring about a change of heart in Arsenal.
