Portuguese club Benfica are considering moving for Inter wing-back Valentino Lazaro this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Lisbon-based newspaper A Bola, who report that the Portuguese side could offer to take the Austrian on loan next season with an option to buy.

Lazaro joined Inter from Hertha Berlin in the summer of 2019, but failed to cement a place in the starting eleven, being sent out on loan to Newcastle United in the second half of his first season with the club before returning to the Bundesliga to spend last season on loan with Borussi Monchengladbach.

The player is not part of the Nerazzurri’s plans going into next season and the club would let him leave for the right offer.

Benfica are thought to be looking for a right-sided player to strengthen their squad for next season, and with target Aleix Vidal reportedly close to a move to Turkey they are interested in bringing Lazaro in.
