Inter’s Nicolo Barella is attracting the interest of Chelsea, but the Nerazzurri have no intentions of allowing the midfielder to depart.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who report that the European champions would like to bring in the Nerazzurri man to reinforce their midfield for coach Thomas Tuchel.

Barella’s performances for Inter over the past two seasons have caught the eye of many Serie A observers as he has established himself as a key midfielder in a Scudetto-winning team, but the 24-year-old’s profile has been raised further at the Euros, where he transferred his club form onto the international stage as Italy won the tournament.

The midfielder is now attracting the market interest of numerous top European clubs, with Chelsea now a side with a concrete intention to bring the player in, but he is not considered for sale by the Nerazzurri, who regard him as a vital player for future plans.
